February 27 2026 : Water main break on rue Hébert

🚧 Notice to residents of Hébert, Fortin and Beaudoin Streets

A water main break has occurred on Hébert Street, between St-Joseph Street and Beaudoin Street.

Repair work is scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026, starting at 7:00 a.m.


The following addresses will be affected by a water shut-off followed by a preventive boil water advisory:

Rue Hébert : #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #11, #12, #15, #16, #17, #18, #19, #21, #22, #23, #25, #26, #27, #28, #31

Rue Fortin : #3, #3A, #5

Rue Beaudoin : #1


🚫💧 Water Shut-Off and Preventive Boil Water Advisory

During the repair work, a water interruption is expected for the addresses listed above.

Once water service is restored, a preventive boil water advisory will be in effect for these same addresses.

The advisory will be lifted as soon as test results confirm that the water is safe to drink and meets current quality standards.

Residents will be notified through the Info Alert system, the municipal website, and the official Facebook page, as soon as the advisory is lifted.

🚧 Work Details

Repair work will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, and is expected to be completed by the end of the day.

The work will include:

  • Excavation

  • Repair of the break

  • Site restoration


Instructions During a Preventive Boil Water Advisory

🚱 Boil water for at least 1 minute or use bottled water before:

  • Drinking

  • Washing fruits and vegetables used in meal preparation

  • Brushing your teeth

  • Preparing baby bottles

  • Giving water to pets

 

The advisory will be lifted as soon as test results confirm that the water is safe and meets current quality standards.

 

🚰 Unless otherwise indicated, tap water may still be used without boiling for:

  • Taking a shower or bath and washing children (ensure they do not swallow water)

  • Preparing food that will be cooked

  • Washing dishes in hot soapy water (dry dishes before use)

  • Using the dishwasher (select the hot cycle)

  • Washing clothes in the washing machine (use caution with white laundry if the water is discolored)
